The \u201ctooth\u201d and \u201crevolution\u201d counts cancel. With all length inputs in millimetres, output is mm\/min; with inches, output is in\/min. The conversion uses the exact NIST definition 1 in = 25.4 mm.<\/p>\r\n<p>Sandvik Coromant\u2019s official metric and inch milling formula sheets give v<sub>f<\/sub>=f<sub>z<\/sub>\u00d7n\u00d7z<sub>c<\/sub> and define z<sub>c<\/sub> as the number of effective teeth. Kennametal independently gives feed rate = RPM \u00d7 chip load \u00d7 number of teeth.
