Mach is dimensionless and needs the local acoustic speed for the actual gas composition and thermodynamic state.<\/li>\n<li><strong>No speed\/velocity conflation.<\/strong> A scalar magnitude can be converted between units; direction and coordinate frame cannot be recovered.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Exact knot factor.<\/strong> The former code used 0.514444 m\/s, truncating the exact 1852\/3600 definition.
