Potrebno je za izdu\u017eene rotore (L\/D ve\u0107i od oko 0.5) i za svaki rotor sa zna\u010dajnim odzivom na parnu neuravnote\u017eenost. Stati\u010dko uravnote\u017eenje mo\u017ee ispraviti jednostavnu te\u0161ku to\u010dku (stati\u010dku neuravnote\u017eenost) dodavanjem ili oduzimanjem mase tako da se centar mase rotora poravna s njegovom osi. Me\u0111utim, ova metoda ne mo\u017ee otkriti niti ispraviti \u201cmomentnu\u201d (dinami\u010dku) neuravnote\u017eenost.<\/p>\n\n<p>U momentu (ili paru) neuravnote\u017eenosti postoje jednako te\u0161ka mjesta na suprotnim krajevima rotora, udaljena 180\u00b0. U mirovanju se ova dva suprotna utega me\u0111usobno uravnote\u017euju, pa rotor mo\u017eda ne\u0107e kotrljati na no\u017enom stalku. U stati\u010dkim uvjetima izgleda uravnote\u017een. Nijedno pode\u0161avanje na stati\u010dkom stalku ne\u0107e to rije\u0161iti, jer se neuravnote\u017eenost pokazuje tek pri radnoj brzini.<\/p>\n\n<p>Jednostavno re\u010deno, balansiranje \u201cna no\u017eevima\u201d otklanja samo te\u0161ke to\u010dke u jednoj ravnini i propu\u0161ta skrivene neuravnote\u017eenosti u dvije ravnine. Zato rotor mo\u017ee biti \u201cstati\u010dki balansiran\u201d, a ipak vibrirati tijekom rada. U balansirnoj ma\u0161ini rotor se vrti, a instrumentacija odre\u0111uje gdje treba postaviti utege. Time se posti\u017ee precizna ravnote\u017ea, ali to ima nedostatke: rastavljanje ma\u0161ine, transport rotora u radionicu i vi\u0161ednevni zastoj.<\/p>\n\n<p>Suprotno tome, moderno balansiranje na terenu koristi prijenosnu opremu za balansiranje rotora u njegovim vlastitim le\u017eajevima (in-situ). Tehni\u010dar postavlja senzore za vibracije na ku\u0107i\u0161te stroja i tahometar za mjerenje rotacijske brzine i faze. Stroj se pokre\u0107e normalnom brzinom, a oprema (poput Balanset-1A) mjeri koliko i u kojem smjeru rotor vibrira. Izvo\u0111enjem testa s probnom te\u017einom softver mo\u017ee izra\u010dunati to\u010dnu potrebnu protute\u017eu i kut na kojem bi trebala biti postavljena. Ova metoda koeficijenta utjecaja (\u010desto proces s tri pokretanja i probnim te\u017einama) automatski izra\u010dunava rje\u0161enje za postizanje ravnote\u017ee.<\/p>\n<p>Na kraju se na rotor dodaju utezi (ili se uklanja materijal) kako bi se poni\u0161tile sile nebalansa.<\/p>\n\n<p>Dinami\u010dki pristup rje\u0161ava i stati\u010dki i dinami\u010dki (parni) neravnote\u017eu jer uzima u obzir fazu vibracije na razli\u010ditim to\u010dkama.
