For balancing purposes a rotor is treated as rigid when it runs at a speed comfortably below its first <a href=\"https:\/\/vibromera.eu\/km\/glossary\/critical-speed\/\">critical speed<\/a> \u2014 conventionally less than 70\u201375% of it. Because its shape stays constant, the rigid rotor is the simplest and most economical class of rotor to balance, and the vast majority of everyday industrial machinery falls into it.<\/p>\n<h2>1. A standard <a href=\"https:\/\/vibromera.eu\/km\/glossary\/two-plane-balancing\/\">two-plane balance<\/a> is sufficient to correct any <a href=\"https:\/\/vibromera.eu\/km\/glossary\/dynamic-balancing\/\">dynamic unbalance<\/a>, whether static, couple, or a combination of the two.
