Como o escorregamento \u00e9 pequeno, a PPF \u00e9 uma frequ\u00eancia muito baixa \u2014 tipicamente apenas alguns hertz \u2014 e normalmente n\u00e3o aparece como um pico isolado, mas como <a href=\"https:\/\/vibromera.eu\/pt\/glossary\/sidebands\/\">faixas laterais<\/a> espa\u00e7adas \u00e0 PPF em torno das componentes da velocidade de rota\u00e7\u00e3o e da frequ\u00eancia da rede. Essa modula\u00e7\u00e3o relacionada com o escorregamento \u00e9 muito amplificada quando o motor tem <a href=\"https:\/\/vibromera.eu\/pt\/glossary\/air-gap\/\">air-gap<\/a> excentricidade, barras do rotor partidas ou um problema de alinhamento rotor-estator. O termo (N<sub>s\u00edncr.<\/sub> \u2212 N) \/ 60 \u00e9 a frequ\u00eancia de escorregamento expressa em Hz.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Note que a PPF \u00e9 constru\u00edda sobre a <em>difference<\/em> entre a velocidade s\u00edncrona e a velocidade real \u2014 a <a href=\"https:\/\/vibromera.eu\/pt\/glossary\/slip-frequency\/\">escorregamento<\/a>. Em vazio, um motor de indu\u00e7\u00e3o funciona quase \u00e0 velocidade s\u00edncrona, pelo que a PPF se aproxima de zero; \u00e0 medida que a carga aumenta, o escorregamento e, portanto, a PPF aumentam com ela, terminando tipicamente na gama de cerca de 0.5\u20133.5 Hz \u00e0 carga nominal. N\u00e3o confunda a PPF com a ordem puramente mec\u00e2nica P \u00d7 velocidade de rota\u00e7\u00e3o (para um motor de 4 polos a 1750 RPM isso \u00e9 cerca de 116.7 Hz) \u2014 trata-se de um harm\u00f3nico da rota\u00e7\u00e3o do veio, n\u00e3o da frequ\u00eancia de passagem dos polos.
