For spring-isolated machines, the tool offers optional engineering guidance boundaries \u2014 A\/B at 9.0 mm\/s RMS, B\/C at 18.0 mm\/s RMS, and C\/D at 36.0 mm\/s RMS \u2014 extrapolated from the rigid-foundation values to reflect the additional frame motion that spring isolation permits. Keep in mind that only the rigid-foundation assessment is a true ISO 20816-8 classification \u2014 the flexible-foundation option applies the extrapolated guidance values described above, which lie outside the scope of the standard.<\/p>\n<h2>\u5f80\u5fa9\u5f0f\u58d3\u7e2e\u6a5f\u7684\u632f\u52d5\u9650\u503c\u8207\u65cb\u8f49\u6a5f\u68b0\u9650\u503c\u76f8\u6bd4\u5982\u4f55\uff1f<\/h2>\n<p>Reciprocating compressors have significantly higher acceptable vibration levels than rotating machines. The Zone A upper limit for reciprocating compressors on rigid foundations is 7.1 mm\/s RMS \u2014 roughly five times the 1.4 mm\/s RMS Zone A\/B boundary for a medium-size rotating machine (ISO 20816-3, formerly ISO 10816-3, Group 2 on rigid support). This difference exists because the reciprocating mechanism inherently generates higher vibration that is considered normal plants, industrial air compressors for plant utilities, and refrigeration compressors used in HVAC and industrial cooling systems.
