Practical Example
Example — 60° angle beam on 25mm carbon steel
V_shear = 3250 m/s, t = 25 mm, θ = 60°
Half skip = 25 × tan(60°) = 25 × 1.732 = 43.3 mm
Full skip = 2 × 43.3 = 86.6 mm
Beam path = 2 × 25 / cos(60°) = 50 / 0.5 = 100 mm
N = 20² × 4×10⁶ / (4 × 3250) = 1600000/13000 = 123 mm
λ = 3250 / (4×10⁶) × 1000 = 0.81 mm
