Use measured electrical energy and delivered reference volume from the same interval and declared system boundary. This page calculates electricity-only arithmetic—not annual projection or total ownership cost.

Matched-data gate: E and V must cover the same timestamps and operating boundary. Volume must have a declared reference condition; energy must state whether package auxiliaries, dryers, cooling and other system loads are included. Use an aggregate tariff appropriate to the interval, or model demand/time charges separately.

If interval duration t is supplied, average input power is E/t and average reference flow is V/t. These averages do not reconstruct part-load states, peak demand or controls.

System and compressor standards

ISO 11011:2013, confirmed in 2020 and reviewed again in 2026, sets requirements for compressed-air energy-efficiency assessments across supply, transmission and demand, from energy inputs to work performed. ISO 1217:2009 with Amendment 1:2016 covers displacement-compressor acceptance tests for volume flow and power and is under revision.

Stránka CAGI compressor handbook/data-sheet guidance identifies total package input power, rated capacity, operating pressure, inlet conditions and specific power together. Do not divide a shaft/nameplate kW by an unrelated flow value.

Electricity-only result: this excludes capacity/demand charges unless embedded in the entered aggregate price, maintenance, capital, installation, cooling/treatment, pressure-drop and purge/leak losses outside the declared boundary, downtime and opportunity cost. It also makes no generic claim about percentage savings or relative efficiency.
