Values normalize to millimetres using1mm=1000µm and1in=25.4mm exactly. These differences are general arithmetic,not formulas prescribed by ISO 14405-1.
NEEDS_LICENSED_SOURCE: the former page embedded H7/H8/H6/g6/h6/k6/p6/js7/f7/e8 range values and operator/modifier claims. ISO 286-2:2010 is the table standard and has Corrigendum1:2013;ISO 14405-1 changed in2025. Exact rows,boundaries,symbols and defaults must be checked in licensed controlled texts before any generator is restored.

ISO 286 and decision boundary
ISO286-1:2010,Edition2,confirmed2026,defines the code system and concepts;Corrigendum1:2013 applies. ISO286-2:2010,Edition2,under systematic review,contains tables of classes and limit deviations;Corrigendum1:2013 applies. A single shaft or hole class does not by itself define a fit—both mating features and their basic sizes are required.
ISO8015:2011 supplies GPS fundamentals,not a numeric fit table. Measurement uncertainty and the governing conformity decision rule remain outside this raw comparator.
Why the former controls were removed
The page presented a preselected g6 shaft class as a “fit”,allowed incompatible combinations such as a p6 shaft with a hole-oriented maximum-inscribed selection,generated limits from an unlicensed table,omitted400–500mm despite accepting500mm,and used defaults,presets,weak parsing and local history. Those choices were removed rather than updated by guesswork.
