Simplified Stroke Time Model

The stroke time is primarily governed by the time required to fill the cylinder volume through the port restriction:

  • V — swept volume = Abore × stroke
  • Qport — flow capacity through port (function of port area and pressure)
  • Pavg — average filling pressure (approximately 0.6–0.8 × Psupply)

⚠️ Note: This is a simplified model. Actual stroke time depends on valve switching time, tubing compliance, cushioning, friction, and back-pressure. Use for estimation only; validate with actual testing.
