Vibromera Expands Across Europe with New Regional Websites

We are excited to announce a major expansion of our operations! Vibromera is now even closer to its clients and partners in Europe with the launch of new regional websites:

This step reflects our commitment to providing high-quality solutions and technical support in the native languages of Europe’s leading industrial markets. Specialists from these countries can now access information about our equipment and services with maximum convenience.

The Destructive Force of Imbalance: What Lies Behind Vibration?

Interesting Fact: An imbalance of just 1 gram on a 100 mm diameter rotor spinning at 10,000 RPM creates a centrifugal force equivalent to a weight of over 5 kilograms! This force strikes the bearings every second, relentlessly shortening their lifespan. You can reproduce this figure with our Centrifugal Force from Unbalance Calculator.

  • Catastrophic Bearing Wear: Vibration destroys bearings—the critical “joints” of any machinery. The vast majority of bearing issues are caused specifically by vibration.
  • Increased Energy Consumption: The motor must expend extra energy to fight against vibration, leading to a direct increase in electricity bills.
  • Structural Fatigue and Failure: Persistent vibration weakens the foundation, mounts, and housing of the equipment, which can lead to cracks and sudden breakdowns.
  • Reduced Product Quality: In industries like metalworking or paper production, machine vibration directly impairs the precision and quality of the final product.

The Ecological and Economic Impact for Europe

🌱 Ecological Aspect
Balanced equipment runs noticeably quieter: depending on the initial condition of the machine, balancing can substantially reduce vibration-induced noise, which is especially important for European countries with strict environmental standards and noise pollution regulations.

💡 Economic Effect
Proper rotor balancing can measurably reduce equipment energy consumption — the motor no longer wastes power fighting vibration, and the achievable saving depends on how severe the initial imbalance was. With high energy prices, this translates into meaningful savings for businesses.

Balancing is Not a Repair, But an Investment in Stability

Modern dynamic balancing can eliminate the vast majority of the vibration caused by imbalance — in our field experience, residual vibration after balancing is typically only a small fraction of the initial level. This is not just a fix for when something has already broken. It is a critical part of a predictive maintenance strategy that allows you to:

  • Significantly extend equipment maintenance intervals, depending on machine condition and operating regime.
  • Minimize the risk of sudden and costly production shutdowns.
  • Ensure high precision and quality of your products.

With the launch of our new websites, we are making advanced balancing and vibration analysis technologies more accessible to European enterprises, helping them operate more efficiently, safely, and economically.

We invite you to visit our new websites and learn more about Vibromera’s solutions for your business!

Nikolai Shelkovenko

Nikolai Shelkovenko

Nikolai Shelkovenko is a vibration analysis engineer and the founder and CEO of Vibromera. For more than 15 years he has balanced rotating equipment in the field rather than on a test bench: mulchers, industrial fans, crushers, centrifuges, shafts and spindles. That work is what the Balanset instruments grew out of — they were designed as a tool a specialist can carry to the machine and use alone, on site, not as laboratory equipment. Vibromera was founded in 2017 and has been based in Porto, Portugal, since 2023. Development, assembly and support of the Balanset line all happen here. The flagship instrument is the Balanset-1A, a portable analyser for single- and two-plane balancing and for vibration diagnostics. Nikolai is personally involved in customer support, in working through difficult balancing cases and in the development of the software. He works with customers worldwide, in any language.
