Record-category check
ISO 14224:2016, edition 3, is published and current. Its official scope is reliability and maintenance data collection and exchange for equipment in petroleum, petrochemical and natural-gas operations.
The public ISO summary identifies three main record categories: equipment data; failure data such as cause and consequence; and maintenance data such as action, resources, consequence and downtime. The exact minimum fields, taxonomy and failure-mode codes remain in the licensed standard.
ISO’s scope explicitly excludes methods for analysing and applying reliability and maintenance data, apart from limited basic-parameter principles in annexes. Therefore a symptom-overlap score cannot truthfully be presented as an ISO 14224 diagnosis, probability, maintenance recommendation or MTBF.
Removed unsupported model: the previous page ranked “most likely” modes by counting matching symptom labels, ignored its severity selector, supplied invented MTBF ranges and attached generic maintenance strategies. None of those outputs had event history, exposure time, population data, conditional probabilities or a cited licensed table.
