Does this worksheet reproduce ISO 898-2 proof-stress tables?

No. Current table values depend on property class, nut style, thread diameter and pitch. Enter values only after checking the exact licensed table row or a controlled product specification.

Can ISO 898-2:2022 be used for M64 nuts?

No. Its published scope covers coarse threads M5 to M39 and fine threads M8x1 to M39x3. A different controlling specification is required outside that scope.

Does calculated proof force establish conformity?

No. Multiplication of proof stress by stress area is arithmetic only. Nut conformity requires the specified product, dimensions, material, tests, marking and acceptance requirements.

Can a nut be matched to a bolt by comparing class digits only?

Not safely as a universal rule. Compatibility depends on the exact nut class/style/thread and bolt property class under the applicable standard and assembly requirements.

Removed unsafe data: the former M42–M64 claims are outside the published scope, and the code’s 0.94/0.90 proof-stress reductions were not standard table values. The simplified hardness and bolt-matching table is also removed.
