    Aero-derivative classification removed. The former page classified aero-derivative machines even though the official current abstract explicitly excludes them and dynamically similar turbines.
    Small-turbine classification removed. The former page applied ISO 20816-4 zones below 3 MW; the official scope requires output above 3 MW.
    Rolling-bearing shortcut removed. The former explanation included aero-derived rolling-element-bearing machines although this vibration is excluded.
    Six copied configurations removed. The same two boundary triplets were applied across three turbine labels; changing the turbine type did not change either threshold set.
    Automatic operating actions removed. One scalar no longer generates “unrestricted”, remedial or immediate-action wording without the licensed procedure and plant evidence.
    Protection-setpoint advice removed. Unverified website boundaries must never be aligned with alarm or trip setpoints.

    Why does this page no longer output Zone A, B, C or D?

    The former six configurations lacked a checked licensed ISO 20816-4:2018 clause/table, complete applicability and measurement conditions, and a verified boundary convention. Three of those configurations were explicitly outside the public scope. A numeric zone would therefore be unsupported.

    Does ISO 20816-4 cover aero-derivative gas turbines?

    No. The official current abstract explicitly excludes aero-derivatives and gas turbines with similar dynamic properties because materially different criteria apply.

    Does ISO 20816-4 cover small turbines or rolling-element bearings?

    No generic rule is provided here. The official current abstract excludes gas turbines at or below 3 MW and rolling-element-bearing vibration from this part.

    Can a bearing-housing velocity or shaft-displacement value alone establish a safe alarm or trip?

    No. Applicability, position, direction, quantity, amplitude convention, band, processing, operating state, trend, licensed criteria, OEM/site limits and protection philosophy must all be controlled.

    Can this worksheet recommend continued operation, maintenance or shutdown?

    No. It only checks whether a documentation package is complete enough for licensed external evaluation by an accountable qualified reviewer.

    Source access: 17 July 2026. No closed ISO clause, amendment text, table, coefficient or zone boundary is copied or inferred. The former automatic classifications and protection advice were removed because their current normative basis and complete application conditions were not verified.
