Industrial Machinery Vibration Evaluation Evidence Worksheet
Organize scope, measurement and source evidence for qualified external review against the current published ISO 20816-3:2022. This worksheet checks documentation completeness only; it does not calculate a vibration zone, diagnosis, alarm, acceptance result or operating instruction.
Evaluation-evidence record
What the official public record establishes
Standard and source register
| Идентификатор | Source and lifecycle | Verified public support | Not supported publicly |
|---|---|---|---|
| S1 | ISO 20816-3:2022 Edition 1 – published – stage 90.92, to be revised | Power/speed/in-situ scope, covered families, exclusions, measurement parts, steady/change context, machine-generated vibration boundary and monitoring purposes. | Closed numerical criteria, exact grouping, support rules, bands, processing, change thresholds and operating-limit procedure. |
| S2 | ISO/FDIS 20816-3 Edition 2 – under development – stage 50.00 | A replacement is in the approval phase and must be tracked. | The draft is not the current published standard and does not authorize use of protected draft criteria. |
| S3 | ISO 10816-3:2009 Edition 2 and Amendment 1:2017 withdrawn; revised by ISO 20816-3:2022 | The predecessor’s withdrawn lifecycle and former 120 to 15 000 r/min scope. | No proof that withdrawn group tables or actions are unchanged in the current edition. |
Review notes
Why does this page no longer output Zone A, B, C or D?
The former twelve boundaries lacked a checked licensed ISO 20816-3:2022 source, exact machine classification, measurement configuration, operating state, processing and boundary convention. A numeric zone would therefore be unsupported.
Is ISO/FDIS 20816-3 Edition 2 already the current standard?
No. The official record shows it under development in the approval phase at stage 50.00. ISO 20816-3:2022 remains the current published International Standard until a replacement is actually published.
Does ISO 20816-3 cover every pump and compressor?
No. The public record excludes direct or integrated rotodynamic motor-pump configurations, reciprocating compressor systems and rotary positive-displacement compressors such as screw compressors, among other listed exclusions.
Can the highest mm/s reading automatically determine machine condition?
No universal shortcut was verified from the public record. Overall condition can require shaft, structural and specific-frequency evidence plus the licensed procedure and exact machine configuration.
Can this worksheet recommend continued operation, maintenance or shutdown?
No. Operational decisions require plant protection logic, site and manufacturer limits, trends and corroborating evidence, the licensed current standard and accountable engineering review.
Source access: 17 July 2026. No closed ISO clause, draft text, table, coefficient or numeric boundary is copied or inferred. The former twelve boundaries, automatic zones, generic diagnostics and operating instructions were removed because their current normative basis and complete application conditions were not verified.
