Legacy drawings. A drawing may contractually invoke a withdrawn edition. Record that edition and verify it under the applicable document-control process; do not silently translate legacy notation into ISO 21920-1 or assume that old and new fields are interchangeable.
Sources and standards boundary
- ISO 21920-1:2021, edition 1, published 2021-12: specifies rules for indicating profile-method surface texture by graphical symbols. As of 2026-07-15 it is at stage 90.92 (to be revised); a future project does not replace the published edition until issued.
- ISO 1302:2002, edition 4, was withdrawn on 2021-12-20 and revised by ISO 21920-1:2021. The former page incorrectly described ISO 1302 and ISO 21920 as complementary current standards.
