Documented Flange Rating Arithmetic Check
Compare operating gauge pressure with a documented maximum working gauge pressure obtained for the same temperature and exact flange/material basis.
Арифметическое сравнение
Arithmetic only
margin = Pdoc−Pop
“Within entered limit” means only that the operating gauge pressure number does not exceed the documented gauge-pressure number supplied by the user. It is not a standards conformity,safety or fitness-for-service decision. Another component,load case,temperature excursion,material limitation or legal requirement can govern.
Unit conversions
The calculation converts through pascals using1bar=100000Pa,1MPa=1000000Pa and1psi=6894.757293168Pa. Temperature uses T°С=(T°F−32)·5/9 and TK=T°С+273.15. Gauge and absolute pressure must not be mixed.
Standards context — licensed tables not implemented
ASME B16.5—2025 is the current official edition and covers pressure-temperature ratings,materials,dimensions,tolerances,marking and testing for its specified NPS/class scope. Its official scope includes Classes150,300,400,600,900,1500 and2500 with size restrictions;the former page omitted Class400 and its numerical rows were not verified against the licensed2025 tables.
EN1092-1:2018 is the current steel-flange edition identified by BSI/DIN and uses PN-designated flanges,with its own materials and p/T rules. It superseded the2007+A1:2013 edition. An EN selection must never reuse ASME Class/material-group rows.
Not checked: edition/table applicability,material specification/group,product form,NPS/DN,size restriction,class/PN,flange/fitting type,temperature boundary,interpolation permission,corrosion,external loads,cyclic service,bolting,gasket,joint integrity,other piping/equipment ratings or jurisdiction.
