Traceable Vibration Limit Comparator
Compare one vibration value with warning and action limits from an identified applicable source. Optional baseline arithmetic is shown without invented ISO multipliers.
Comparison with supplied limits
ISO 13373-1:2002, confirmed in 2024, gives general vibration condition-monitoring procedures covering measurement methods/parameters, transducer selection/location/attachment, collection, operating conditions, signal conditioning and monitoring systems. It is not a universal numerical alarm table. ISO 13373-2:2016 szabvány addresses processing, analysis and presentation of vibration data.
ISO 20816-1:2016 szabvány provides general measurement/evaluation conditions and says quantities/methods must be well defined with limitations understood. Machinery-specific criteria belong in the applicable part. For example, ISO 20816-3:2022 szabvány has a specific industrial-machine scope above 15 kW and 120–30000 r/min plus explicit exclusions; it cannot be applied merely from a generic “pump”, “compressor” or “small machine” label.
No diagnosis or shutdown command: reaching a supplied value triggers the action defined by its controlling source and site procedure. A scalar comparator does not identify a fault, predict imminent failure or replace competent review of spectra, phase, process data and measurement validity.
