什么决定兼容性？

润滑脂的兼容性主要取决于 增稠剂, 而不是基础油。当不相容的润滑脂混合时，增稠剂的结构可能会被破坏，导致：

软化（轴承润滑脂耗尽）
硬化（润滑脂无法流动，导致轴承润滑不足）
析油和渗油
承载能力降低

润滑脂更换最佳实践

兼容的润滑脂： 可以直接混合。涂抹新润滑脂，并通过正常的润滑循环清除旧润滑脂。
边缘油脂： 尽量减少混合。换型后的前3-5个循环缩短重新润滑间隔。
不相容的润滑脂： 切勿混用。彻底拆卸并清洁轴承，或用新润滑脂的基础油冲洗直至清洁，然后重新润滑。

基础油相容性

还要考虑基础油的相容性。通常情况下：

矿物 + 矿物： 兼容
矿物+PAO（合成）： 兼容
矿物油+酯类： 通常兼容（检查密封件兼容性）
矿物+硅油： 不相容
PAO + 酯： 兼容

The most common result is that the mixed grease becomes either too soft (runs out of the bearing, causing starvation) or too hard (won't flow, causing overheating). Either way, the bearing is not properly lubricated and will fail prematurely.

Polyurea greases are generally only compatible with other polyurea greases. They are incompatible with most soap-based thickeners (lithium, calcium, sodium, etc.). This is important because polyurea is increasingly popular for "sealed-for-life" bearings.

Mineral + PAO (synthetic) is generally fine. Mineral + ester is usually OK. Mineral + silicone is NOT compatible. However, thickener compatibility is usually more critical than base oil compatibility.

Check the grease technical data sheet (TDS) or safety data sheet (SDS) from the manufacturer. The thickener type is always listed. Common identifiers: Lithium 12-hydroxystearate, Polyurea, Aluminum complex, etc.

NLGI grade (consistency) differences don't affect chemical compatibility. A NLGI 2 lithium grease is compatible with NLGI 3 lithium grease. However, the resulting consistency will be somewhere in between.
