< 10% — Excellent. Measurement system acceptable.

These %GRR acceptance thresholds and the ndc ≥ 5 criterion come from the AIAG MSA (Measurement Systems Analysis) manual. ISO 5725 defines the underlying concepts of repeatability and reproducibility for measurement methods, but it does not set these acceptance bands.
