Montaža
- The software installs from the stock USB stick or a downloaded installer (Bs1A-Setup-x.x.x.exe). The installer sets up the program itself, the database and the drivers.
- Requirements: Windows 7/8/10/11, a free USB port. Any office laptop will do (i3 / 4 GB RAM is enough).
- Reboot the computer after installation — a fair share of “device not detected / error on F7” issues disappears exactly after a reboot.
- Enter the channel calibration coefficients in F4 – Settings (from the sticker on the unit’s bottom / the box / the file on the stick). Without them the vibration readings will be wrong.
- If your antivirus blocks the installer or the archive won’t unpack — temporarily disable the antivirus or add the file to exclusions.
- Do not install the program into a OneDrive-synced folder — there have been problems with language files and templates.
Updating
From versions 2.2.x the updater is built into the program: F1 – Info → Updates, channels stable (recommended) and experimental (beta features). The measuring unit’s firmware updates from the same place (Check update button).
Before any update or reinstall:
- Open F4 – Settings and write down the calibration coefficients.
- After installing the new version, re-enter and verify them.
What the 2.2.x–2.3.x generation added compared with the old 1.6x–1.7x:
- a rewritten core, streaming data transfer, stable USB;
- the RunDown coast-down chart (resonance hunting);
- X-Y orbit, harmonic markers, automatic measurements;
- crash-safe session recovery, built-in bug reports;
- reports and archives are kept in a stable per-user folder and are no longer lost on update;
- translations into 20+ languages;
- balancing up to 150,000 rpm.

Old-version bugs — already fixed; the one fix is to update
If you see any of the errors below, you are running an outdated version. All of these bugs are fixed in current builds (2.2.x / 2.3.x). The solution is the same in every case: update the software and firmware (F1 – Info → Updates, stable channel), remembering to write down the calibration coefficients first.
“PurgeComm function failed (Error: 22)” / the device disappears, the program hangs
A COM/USB-port bug of old versions. It surfaced en masse after Windows 11 security updates (USB port handling changed). Fixed in current versions (2.2.30+ / firmware 5.5) — the device-communication core was rewritten. Until you update, a reboot and re-plugging USB may help. If it strikes mid-balancing, the Restore Data Session button recovers the measurement series — no need to start over.

“Cannot open file …\Report\Tpl\ES\protocol.htm” / the program won’t proceed to RUN 1
An old-installer bug — language-pack files and report templates were not installed. Fixed in the current installer. Report templates live in the reporttpl folder (.htm format) — you can adapt them to your letterhead.
Error when typing a number with a comma/point
The old decimal-separator bug (depended on Windows regional settings). Fixed since version 1.71 — current versions don’t have it.
Saved rotors/archive disappeared after an update
An old-version bug (data lived in the program folder and was wiped on reinstall). In new versions the archives have moved to the user folder and survive updates.
User-attention mistakes — these are not bugs
Here the program works correctly — the settings are simply wrong. These two items regularly cost users days of work; check them first.
Mass values in percent instead of grams
Uzrok: the weight-mounting radius field is empty and/or the trial-weight mass is not entered — the program switches to percent of the trial mass. Fix: on the first Balancing Settings tab fill in the radius and trial mass and check the g / % (“grams”) switch.
Real example: the device showed “322” and “177” — the user assumed grams. Those were percentages of the trial weight.
The “remove mass” / “add mass” checkbox
The settings define the correction method: adding a weight (welding) or removing material (drilling). If “remove” is ticked while you are welding weights on — the sign is inverted and vibration grows. Real case: a Seppi mulcher would not balance until this checkbox was spotted.
Settings and other notes
The program is in English although another language is selected
Select the language in the settings and restart the program — the language applies after a restart. If that doesn’t help, the language pack didn’t load (old version, OneDrive install, incomplete installer): update to a fresh build; versions 2.2.x+ ship 20+ languages. All languages work on Windows 7 as well.
“Error while working — run as administrator”
If the program can’t save a file/report — run it as administrator (right-click → Run as administrator).
Izvještaji
The report is generated from a template (RTF/HTM); you can then save/print it to PDF with Windows tools. A typical customer report — a “Balancing Report” with initial/final vibration, masses and angles.
If nothing helps
- Take a screenshot of the error and note at which step it appears.
- New versions have built-in bug reporting — use it.
- Free support — email ([email protected]) and the forum vibromera.eu/community; priority WhatsApp support is subscription-based.
- A working fallback when the job must be finished “right now”: another laptop (there have been cases where everything worked on Windows 10 but not on one particular Windows 11 laptop).
